Nice job

I actually like this tutorial. I found it mainly useful for the function calls and implementation of how you did things since I know some programming. Maybe you could create separate scenes/frames for the in depth information instead of having to zoom in on it. Oh and from looking at the code you wrote for link's movement, he's supposed to be able to transition from one side of the screen to the other. But it only works walking off the stage from the left and up. He actually just stopped for the other two directions. Of course I didn't read the in depth information about it so I might have overlooked something you stated.

Overall a 5/5 for presenting useful information in a neat package.

thanks, i will take what you said onboard, and improve in version v1.5, also link stops at the other edge cos i kinda messed up with the script, cos insted of him moving to the other side, he mves to the same side, and thus stopping him.

Nice game

It's a nice game. Very simple and easy to learn on the fly. It actually benefits from being so. The graphics reminds me of the atari days. Sort of like the tron arcade game. Very addicting game. Does the game actually have an ending? Or does the game keep increasing the spawn rate of the flakes until you die? I got to level 14 and it turns very hectic.

ultima301 responds:

The game does not have an ending, it keeps going until you fail, increasing the speed of the health drain and spawn rates at each level. I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, the graphic style is supposed to harken back to vector graphics of the atari days.
