Pretty odd

Odd because I see parts of the movie with some great frame-by-frame, and then parts where it's kinda....meh... Wasn't too bad although that syncing issue probably could be solved with having the music stream instead of by event. Of course I don't know if that was your intention....

The-Joker-xD responds:

I am from the lazy generation, the odd parts is because i am a little lazy... a little... xD

Not too entertaining, just about average

Okay, so the tools provided within the flash program somehow became inferior. I don't see the point your making. "Don't use these tools and methods since I consider them easy." I personally haven't watched every single animation done by this individual, but I have seen a fair sample including the first episode when it was upped. I don't think it's random that the score he has is at that level. I've visited Newgrounds since 1998-99 and the majority of material has evolved from killing famous people to actually story and opinions. illwill actually brought something new and entertaining instead of fighting stickmen. Time passed and now everyone is jumping on some sort of hating frenzy. Opinions and political standings should never be used in judgement although I read so many reviews which are based on this alone... Quality is not just animation and graphics, but style, sound, humor, etc... and I don't see how anyones score can be considered some sort of fluke or mistake especially by the pure volume of votes it went to average it. That being said my review of your movie without association to my rant/opinion:

The voices were actually pretty clear compared to other clock movies which utilize the same tool. Graphics wise it was okay. Nothing very detailed but decent. It's hard to rate on style since 80% of the clock crew uses the same template...it kind of takes away from the unique feel of a movie. Overall it was okay but nothing new.

Nice job

I actually like this tutorial. I found it mainly useful for the function calls and implementation of how you did things since I know some programming. Maybe you could create separate scenes/frames for the in depth information instead of having to zoom in on it. Oh and from looking at the code you wrote for link's movement, he's supposed to be able to transition from one side of the screen to the other. But it only works walking off the stage from the left and up. He actually just stopped for the other two directions. Of course I didn't read the in depth information about it so I might have overlooked something you stated.

Overall a 5/5 for presenting useful information in a neat package.

dan-des-man responds:

thanks, i will take what you said onboard, and improve in version v1.5, also link stops at the other edge cos i kinda messed up with the script, cos insted of him moving to the other side, he mves to the same side, and thus stopping him.

It's a game...

You created a game system that seems like it could be entertaining for a little while. The game really doesn't offer much towards objectivity or difficulty. After the first two screens my interest severely decreased. The use of the red block was more annoying than useful except in one part where it was required to proceed to the next map. The game flows too slow maybe because it lacks any sort of sound implementation/music? Good job on programming the system, but I think it would need more tweaking. Plus the level designs provided limited/minimal difficulty and I never had to once stop to think about anything.

Nice game

It's a nice game. Very simple and easy to learn on the fly. It actually benefits from being so. The graphics reminds me of the atari days. Sort of like the tron arcade game. Very addicting game. Does the game actually have an ending? Or does the game keep increasing the spawn rate of the flakes until you die? I got to level 14 and it turns very hectic.

ultima301 responds:

The game does not have an ending, it keeps going until you fail, increasing the speed of the health drain and spawn rates at each level. I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, the graphic style is supposed to harken back to vector graphics of the atari days.
